Swinging the bat

Speaking to a group of networkers recently, I talked about business building as being a lot like stepping up to the plate in baseball.

There you are, bat in hand.

Everything’s ready.

· The fielders.
· The field.
· The pitcher.
· You’ve got all your gear on.
· And you’re at the plate.
· Ready.

It’s like you in your business.

· The company’s invented something amazing worth telling people about.
· They’ve employed staff, ready to help you.
· There’s a team of people ahead of and around you shouting encouragement, and teaching you how to do this.

All that’s left is something only you can do:

You have to swing the bat.

A lady came up to me at the end of the talk, her face aglow.

I get it!” she said,”I could picture what you were saying from my kids’ sports games!

They just have to swing the bat – it doesn’t matter if they miss, they just have to keep stepping up and trying, and they get better!

See you on the road,

PS if you want to see this metaphor in action:
· the need to swing the bat
· how your attitude impacts the way you swing the bat
· and how this simple stuff affects your results
· then read The Networker: now!

Hi, I'm Helen Jamieson, the author of The Networker - a novel created from experiences on the road to creating over USD $1million with my network marketing business. The book is a fable, a novel, about Sally, a feisty mother of two young children. Sally's feeling exhausted by her job, her lack of money and her negative spouse. Surely successful people didn't have to deal with obstacles like hers? The story follows her into, under and round those obstacles on her quest to take back control of her life using network marketing.
