What about the Little Shot?

One of the top income earners in my company was a young guy when he started.

Like many in this industry, he’d overcome great financial adversity to become successful.

Around his full time job and his young family, he had built his business.

He was so poor at times he could only afford to literally eat beans for days on end.

And yet he just kept on building.

He wouldn’t quit.

When he got up to speak many years later at convention as a top income earner, he was not awash with charisma or special powers.

And he acknowledged that:

“I’m just a little shot,” he said.

“But I’m a little shot that kept shooting.”

I remember hearing that line.  It moved me so deeply.

Even writing it today my eyes are glassing up.

I don’t know any other business where the company takes all the risk for you.

You can be in dire straits.

You can be lacking in charisma, in money and in good fortune.

You can be, in every sense, a ‘little shot’.

But you can keep shooting.

And still get where you wanted to go.

See you on the road,

Hi, I'm Helen Jamieson, the author of The Networker - a novel created from experiences on the road to creating over USD $1million with my network marketing business. The book is a fable, a novel, about Sally, a feisty mother of two young children. Sally's feeling exhausted by her job, her lack of money and her negative spouse. Surely successful people didn't have to deal with obstacles like hers? The story follows her into, under and round those obstacles on her quest to take back control of her life using network marketing.
