Are you fumbling your feedback loop?
Home based business means you can choose your hours.
This is both heaven… and hell (I already wrote about that).
Sure you can choose to take things slowly.
You can fit business bits and pieces in around the stuff of your life.
Think about this:
If you were trying to improve your ball kicking skills, how would you go about it?
Would you kick the ball and then, a week later, take note of where it landed? And then wait another week before doing it again?
I doubt it.
Because that just doesn’t make sense does it?
You just can’t improve with such a loose feedback loop.
To improve you need to kick the ball, watch where it lands, kick it again – over and over.
Someone who kicked a ball ten times today will improve MUCH more than someone who kicks it once.
It’s common sense (which a lot of us jettison in the land of network marketing).
You don’t have to kill yourself HUSTLING your buns off in your business and working yourself to death. You really can build your network in 10 hours a week.
But you do need to be consistent.
Learning new stuff is HARD and it can be demoralising. And unless you’re consistent it won’t pay off.
When you do enough activity each week your skills will improve.
Because remember: a company won’t just throw money at you for nothing.
If you’re relying on business rather than the lottery for your future good fortune, you need to become valuable to the marketplace. And that means improving your current skill set.
As Jim Rohn said: “Success is something you attract, by the person you become.”
Personal development combined with consistent action is the best way to improve the value you’re offering right now – visit my resources page (especially the book club) if you need inspiration on where to start.
See you on the road,
